Facilities Move Court to Video as Precaution

Many facilities in Colorado have already moved from physical meetings to a virtual arraignments in order to protect all parties involved in court cases.

“If it gets in there, you got issues,” Said Mike Britton vice president of the deputies union, “It could really break loose in any of these jails.

Most facilities have begun to also clean and sanitize their entire facilities, “DOC understands that this will greatly impact the inmate population, but have made the difficult decision that the risk of a visitor potentially bringing COVID-19 into a facility is something that must be prevented to the extent possible,” Dean Williams, executive director of the department, said in a statement.

This is why it is also important to get your family members in Colorado out on bail as soon as possible.
